This film deals with the desires of an older single woman who lives by herself in the house that she shared with her deceased brother. Her only other companion is her trusted gardener and the pleasures of the internet through which she plays her sinister games.
This film was produced as part of a series called 'Mystery Theatre" that ran on Indus Vision, a Pakistani cable channel

Mehreen graduated from UCLA in 1993 with a Film, Television and Video certificate, and returned to Pakistan to direct and produce made-for-TV movies and drama series/serials under the banner of TasVeer Productions, almost all of which were critically acclaimed by the Pakistani press.She went on to direct tele-films and TV series for numerous TV channels in Pakistan, in addition to a number of short films which have aired in festivals worldwide. Her award-winning TV films include 'Daughters of the Late Colonel', and a four-part television show: ' Sanam Gazida, Afsoon Khawab, Deeda-e-Purkhoon, and Lal Baig.' 'Ramchand Pakistani' is her first feature length film, which has already been released in Pakistan and India in 2008 and is currently playing in cinemas in the UK to critical and audience acclaim. The film premiered in the competition section of the Tribeca Film Festival in New York in 2008. It won the FIPRESCI PRIZE from the International Federation of Film Critics and received Honourable Mention by the 13th Annual Satyajit Ray Awards at the London Film Festival, 2008 as well as the Audience Award at the Fribourg Int'l Film Festival, Switzerland amongst others.
Mehreen has been a member of the National Board of Film Censors in Karachi, a founding member of WAR (War Against Rape), the KaraFilm Festival in Karachi, and has also served as a juror at the Leeds International Film Festival in 2002. She currently resides in New York City .
