
New York, July 22, 2010: Engendered is proud to announce the third edition of I-VIEW FILM 2010 from September 18th through the 26th, 2010 at Asia Society, Tribeca Cinemas, Big Cinemas Manhattan. The packed week will screen over 25 features, documentaries and shorts with over 20 North American, US or NY premieres, many of which will be star studded Red Carpets. Adding glamour will be satellite events like galas, thematic fashion shows by India and Pakistan’s top designers, after-parties and industry events. This cutting edge cinematic and entertainment extravaganza presents contemporary South Asia’s most vital voices in film. Ranging from art-house/independent to mainstream Bollywood; festival favorites to under-the-radar docs; classics to experimental & avant-garde; the festival features a dynamic selection from the entire continuum of South-Asian cinema.
About Engendered: Engendered is the trans-national arts and human rights organization focused on exploring the complex realities of gender and sexuality in the South Asian Diaspora. Based in New York, Engendered presents an annual four-part festival that brings together the best in contemporary South Asian performance, music, visual arts, and cinema.
